The Baltimore Ravens had some very impressive performances in the preseason debut against the Jaguars. They won 29-0. The following players stood out:

10. Kenneth Dixon

The Baltimore Ravens running back situation is interesting. Dixon is looking sharp as the preseason got underway last night. He had 21 yards on four carries. The first thing you notice with Dixon is how much of a quick burst player he is. Dixon needs to keep getting this kind of production in the preseason. Justice Hill isn’t going anywhere but four running backs is more than doable. Dixon looked like the best running back on display last night despite getting such a little workload. His chances for making the team are looking good after one week of the preseason.

9. Chris Wormley

Wormley looks like a different player than he was last year. He looks like he has taken the next big step. There was one play where he knifed through the offensive line and lit up the running back and he won the battle with most of his playing time. Wormley is a player to keep your eye on this preseason. He is a player whose roster spot seems fairly safe and now he’s working on being a top contributor for the defensive line.

8. Bennett Jackson

The worst thing about the preseason is you see players that probably won’t make the team make a real strong argument for a roster spot. Bennett Jackson is one of those players. He had an interception last night to go along with three tackles. He looked sharp, disciplined and he showed us his ball skills with that pick. Jackson did a lot to help his cause but he happens to play a position the Ravens are fully stocked on.
