Thoughts on the offense:

Lamar Jackson and the offense produced two field goal drives in their time on the field. Once again they bogged down as they approached the end zone though on both drives. This was a consistent problem last year with Jackson under center and is something that needs to be monitored moving forward. Jackson did have a nice night overall going 6-10 for 58 yards.

The offense also saw Kenneth Dixon go down with another injury. Cue everyone’s shocked face. he did return to the game and had a really nice seven yard run on one carry but struggled to get going the rest of the night. His spot on this roster is slipping away. You can’t help the club from the tub and Dixon has still not yet proven he can stay on the field. It also doesn’t help Dixon that Justice Hill can ball. The rookie rushed 10 times for 49 yards last night and scored a touchdown and looked like a future feature back.

Offensively, Chris Moore continues to stand out. I don’t know if the light went on for Moore this offseason or if this is another flash in the pan but I hope it’s the latter. He hauled in all four targets for 54 yards and a touchdown on a DIME from Trace McSorley. Though it’s early and he has been up and down, McSorley looks like an adequate NFL backup to me, making the Ravens decision on his roster status dicey.

Pat Ricard does everything well. At least through training camp and two preseason games. He’s a lock to make this roster after looking like he could have an uphill battle at the start of camp. Jermaine Eluemunor responded to being demoted to second team in practice. He had his best performance of the preseason as the starting left guard last night. That situation however is far from settled.
