Here is a Baltimore Ravens roster projection for you, right after two preseason games:

Quarterbacks

1. Lamar Jackson

2. Robert Griffin III

3. Trace McSorely

The Ravens quarterback situation is very simple. Lamar Jackson is the starter. When healthy, Robert Griffin III is the backup. Trace McSorely can work in as the gadget play quarterback. It all works the way it was supposed to work the entire time. The exciting thing about this is that McSorely has exceeded expectations as Jackson’s understudy this preseason. McSorely has some potential as a backup quarterback in this league.

The Ravens have three quarterbacks who have had a lot of success. Jackson was a Hiesman trophy winner and he supplanted Joe Flacco in less than one full season. Robert Griffin III earned himself a Hiesman trophy as well. Robert Griffin III had a big rookie season with the Washington Redskins and now he may be the best backup in the NFL. It was a rocky path, yet Griffin III has found a home in the NFL. McSorely led Penn State to very impressive heights.

This is Jackson’s team. He is the one with special abilities. His understudies are not bad though, and McSorely may find a job helping Jackson’s offense.
