Cornerbacks:

40. Marlon Humphrey

41. Brandon Carr

42. Jimmy Smith

43. Cyrus Jones

44. Anthony Averett

45. Justin Bethel

The Tavon Young fallout: When Young went down, Jones locked up a roster spot. The Ravens have an excess of talented cornerbacks on the outside, but nickel cornerbacks becomes a question. The Ravens lost one of the best nickle cornerbacks in football.

Hardest Cut: The Ravens don’t have a roster spot for two cornerbacks they don’t want to lose. They have no room for Maurice Canady or Iman Marshall. Justin Bethel gets to sneak on the roster because of his ability on special teams. Marshall belongs on the practice squad; hopefully he doesn’t get claimed by another team. He could be a starter down the line, but he’s not ready for prime time yet.

Player to highlight: Brandon Carr may have become the most important player in the secondary. He could end up being the solution to the nickel cornerback spot. Of the Ravens three starting caliber corners, he is most suited to help the team recover from losing Young.
