What should’ve been a fun moment in Baltimore Ravens history was washed away by bad weather. Still, 16-0 feels pretty good; even if it’s just the preseason.

Ladies and gentlemen, your Baltimore Ravens have just completed a 16-0 preseason run that started in 2016. How does it feel to be the best preseason football team ever?!

Seriously though, 16-straight wins is remarkable regardless of the context. For it to be preseason games makes it even more fun, as the roster turnover between years is crazy. With a few staples on the team since 2016 (i.e. Marshal Yanda, Justin Tucker, etc.), there’s been plenty of guys to come in-and-out of Charm City and contribute to this really cool run.

Unfortunately, the Ravens 16th straight win is tarnished by a late comeback attempt by the Philadelphia Eagles. After shutting the Eagles out in the first half, Baltimore was then shutout in the second-half while Philly made a 15-0 run. Eventually both the Ravens and Eagles pulled their respective starters, Trace McSorley and Josh McCown, from the game just before it ended.

There’s truly no guarantees that Baltimore would emerge victorious in this game. Philadelphia had serious momentum and their passing game, especially JJ Arecga-Whiteside, was working the Ravens secondary. Baltimore was backpedaling quickly…

Regardless of a late-game collapse, the Ravens were absolutely dominating. Trace McSorley looked like Tom Brady, throwing dimes to guys like Michael Floyd and Jaleel Scott, the latter of whom may’ve Secured himself a roster spot. McSorley also tagged on a rushing touchdown and ended his superb performance 19/28 for 203-yards passing and three total touchdowns.

Scott and McSorley made themselves well-known Thursday night in Philadelphia. Each of them respectively made a strong case to make the Baltimore Ravens final 53-man roster, and not the practice squad. Given Robert Griffin III’s injury, McSorley had a solid chance to make it regardless. It was a different story for Scott, however, and his dominant performance will give him an extra leg in the competition.

Overall, the 2019 preseason has shown us how talented this year’s addition of the Baltimore Ravens appears to be. While a weather delay “gave” Baltimore a win, it doesn’t take away the other 15 wins they earned. Celebrate, Ravens Flock! 16-0 feels good no matter what!
