The Baltimore Ravens extended their preseason winning streak to 16 games with a 26-15 win over the Eagels in a rain-shortened affair. Who stood out?

In what was one of the sloppiest football games I have seen, preseason or otherwise, the Baltimore Ravens were able to emerge with a 26-15 win over the Philadelphia Eagles to run their preseason unbeaten streak to 16 games.

The teams combined for 24 penalties for a total of 203 yards. The game was stopped because of lightning with 11:43 remaining in the fourth quarter after a short delay.

The major takeaway from last night was the performance of sixth round pick Trace McSorley under center for the purple and black. Starting for a resting Lamar Jackson, McSorley was flawless in the first half last night going 19-28 for 203 yards and two gorgeous touchdown passes to Michael Floyd and Jaleel Scott.

The following tweets from the Baltimore Ravens include the must see highlights:

These two throws are next level good. McSorley also added a rushing touchdown, staking the Ravens to a 26-0 lead at halftime. The Penn State product has given the Ravens a tough decision as roster cut day sits a week from tomorrow.

McSorley, who was thought to be an afterthought pick best suited for a role on special teams, has certainly proven he can conduct an NFL offense albeit in the preseason. Maybe the Ravens intended to keep 3 QB’S all along. Maybe they were going to try to sneak McSorley to the practice squad. He still might be safe if they try to do that, but the waters have undoubtedly muddied.
