1) Patrick Mekari makes the roster after the Ravens trade of Jermaine Eluemunor. I wouldn’t be stunned to Greg Senat slide on to the roster as well. The Ravens don’t have a ton of depth on the OL so anything is possible.
2) I think that the Ravens have to go with three quarterbacks for several reason. The first being the style of offense the intend to run. No one thinks Lamar Jackson is going to run 15-20 times a game but I’d expect him to be between 8-12 carries a game. That could lead to him being more likely to get hurt. With an injury pone Robert Griffin III already nursing a broken thumb behind him and McSorley having a nice preseason, this feels like a no brainer to me.
3) As much as I have campaigned for Kenneth Dixon this preseason, the fourth year back has simply not done enough to make it onto this roster. Maybe they can work out a trade for him but I expect him gone by Saturday at 4pm.
4) The Ravens need to keep Seth Roberts. The inexperience in the WR group with Boykin, Brown, and Scott rostered is crying out for an additional reliable veteran. Roberts over Floyd for me because Roberts has enjoyed some recent NFL success while Floyd has not.
5) No Shane Ray for me but I doubt he makes many folks 53. No Maurice Canady for me as well. He has shown nothing this preseason and it is time to move on. If Iman Marshall goes to IR to to open the year, Canady could sneak his way onto the roster.
6) The Ravens are set at ILB with Board, Young, and Onwuasor. If a fourth is needed, Co Cap (Anthony Levine Sr.) or Joker (DeShon Elliott) can come down and help out there. No need for Otaro Alaka.
