3. Unanswered questions remain:

The Ravens don’t have an obvious answer for who will be the punt returner. Cyrus Jones could be in line for the gig. He is the best return specialist on the roster yet he is also the starting nickel cornerback. The Ravens may have to put Jones back to return punts, yet they are really hoping to rely on him defensively. Baltimore doesn’t have a roster spot given to a player who is purely a return specialist. That’s not a problem it just makes John Harbaugh have to really think about his options.

The week 1 starter at left guard is still kind of up in the air. The Ravens could go a couple of different ways with this. Ben Powers is the idea that makes the most sense moving forward, however it is a familiar position to James Hurst. Harbaugh has a decision to make here, and it’s one of pivotal importance.

Next. Takeaways from Ravens 53 man roster. dark

The Ravens still don’t know if they are going to get enough from their outside linebackers and defensive line. Tim Williams and Tyus Bowser looked good in the preseason and they need to keep it up in the games that count. On a roster with a lot of young players, the outside linebacker position is the one with the least certainty. The Ravens only have five defensive lineman on the roster. That isn’t ideal depth and that’s a potential problem.
