The Baltimore Ravens are expected to beat the Miami Dolphins but they still have to go out there and do it. Here are the keys to victory:

1. Taking the moment seriously:

The Baltimore Ravens have to take each game seriously. They have sometimes been a team that plays up and down to their opponents. The only way the Ravens lose this game is if they beat themselves, because the Dolphins aren’t going to do it. This is a Dolphins team that just traded away their left tackle and one of their best receivers. This is a Dolphins team many people are projecting to have the number one pick in 2020. The Ravens are playing a team they are expected to beat.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is the player that gives the Ravens something to worry about. Fitzpatrick was with the Buccaneers last year and he had a “Fitzmagic” start to the season. The Buccaneers had a lot more to work with around Fitzpatrick. That can’t be ignored. Look around the Dolphins offense and  wonder who is going to beat the Ravens defense?

DeVante Parker shouldn’t scare the Ravens elite secondary and he’s the best receiver Miami has. This makes a loss even more inexcusable. If the Ravens let Fitzpatrick beat them, it would be an all-time bad look for the franchise.

The Dolphins don’t have an elite group of weapons or a great offensive line. Matt Judon should be able to get some real work in this game. This game should be controlled by the Ravens defense. They can’t sleep walk. They can’t take the game lightly. If the Ravens don’t give a good effort they will risk giving the Dolphins what they need for a week 1 upset. The Dolphins front office may be in full tank mode. The players and coaches are going to try to win. If the Ravens don’t give their best effort, all the advantages they have could go out the window. The key for Baltimore is to have an energized performance and to dominate this game from start to finish.
