2. Lamar Jackson:

Lamar Jackson is going to operate the offense smoothly in this game. He looked sharp and well in command during his two preseason starts. He should show more of the same to start the regular season. Jackson is going to get the offense into an early groove. Once he has built a lead the running game can dictate the game to the Dolphins. He could easily win this game and not have monster passing numbers. It’s all about having the offense take advantage of their chances with the football.

This will be the week the Ravens begin to unveil their offense. Jackson is the center piece of the offense and he’s going to be determined to prove that he can get the job done as a passer. Look for the Ravens offense to be balanced in the beginning of the game. If Jackson is going to have a great season the offense should look dramatically different than it did towards the end of last season. The Ravens have had an entire offseason to build an attack plan around Jackson’s skills. He has to show up in a big way and there is no reason to think that he won’t.

Look for Jackson to complete a couple of big passes early into the game and for him to be steady all game long. He should have about 220-250 passing yards and he should make an impact on the box score as a runner. Jackson will have the offense running smoothly and will make plays that keep the Ravens humming past the Dolphins.
