Doing a good bad and the ugly post for a 59-10 season opener didn’t feel right. There’s nothing to complain about and a lot of praising to do. That’s why we got the good, the great and the special heading your way:

The Good:

The offense stole the show but the Ravens defense was awesome. Ryan Fitzpatrick went 14-29 for 185 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Josh Rosen had three passing attempts and one of them was picked off by Marlon Humphrey. Kenyan Drake was the leading rusher of the Miami Dolphins with 12 yards. The Ravens offense made the headlines. The defense made sure that it wasn’t a competitive game. The defense dominated. It was fast, physical and ready for what the Dolphins were going to do.

Patrick Onwuasor had one of the Ravens three sacks, highlighting the impressive blitz calls of Don Martindale. Earl Thomas had a pick in his debut with the Ravens. The offense shouldn’t be the only thing getting attention in this game.

The Ravens played a bad Dolphins team, but the Dolphins didn’t just beat themselves. The Ravens defense played at a level that would have beaten a lot of teams in the NFL.

Mark Ingram II was clearly a good addition to the offense. He had 14 carries for 107 yards and two touchdowns in the season opener. Ingram II started the game off with a long rushing play that set the tone. It was the first hand off of the day that showed the Dolphins they were in for a good old fashioned beat down. All three of the Ravens running backs looked good. Anthony Levine Sr. actually had the longest rushing attempt of the day on a fake punt. The defensive back stormed down the field for a 60 yard gain.
