28. Washington Redskins

The Redskins looked to be off to a promising start, after they got out to an early 17-0 lead over the Eagles in Philly. Unfortunately, the Redskins defense was unable to maintain the advantage, surrendering over 300 yards and 25 points in the second half. Washington was unable to contain DeSean Jackson, as Jackson torched the secondary for 154 yards and two scores in his return to Philly.

27. Jacksonville Jaguars

Opening the season against the defending MVP is never an easy task and the Jaguars learned that the hard way. Jacksonville was unable to stop Mahomes and co., giving up 40 points and almost 500 yards in total offense. The defense, which was thought to be one of the best in the league, was outperformed. Add in the loss of Nick Foles for an unknown amount of time and the Jaguars aren’t looking too hot out of the gate.

26. Detroit Lions

The Lions looked as if they had an easy 1-0 start to the season. Then, their defense crumbled and allowed an 18 point comeback to Kyler Murray and the Cardinals. Detroit’s offense looked solid, but you can’t surrender a four possession lead and expect to rise in the rankings.

25. Denver Broncos

With a defense that is thought to be at the top of the league, the Broncos got carved up by Derek Carr and the Raiders. Only forcing 4 incompletions on the night, Denver had a tough time keeping the Raiders offense off the field consistently. On the offensive side, Joe Flacco looked rusty scared in the pocket.
