Which Ravens players need to step up against the Cleveland Browns?

The Ravens have a big game against the Browns today. This game is a battle for a clear path to an AFC North crown. It’s early however that’s the way this is shaping up. A loss would make the Browns 1-3. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals play on Monday Night Football so one of those teams is getting their first win this week. Baltimore has a chance to go 3-1 in the division and make their closest competition a 1-3 tie for second place. The Ravens play the Steelers next week and the Bengals in week 6. This means the Ravens have a chance to go 5-1 while burrying their division rivals in pits they’ve already dug themselves in. The AFC North has always been a challenge but everything is lined up for the Ravens right now.

That’s what’s there for the taking, now the Ravens have to go get the job done. Let’s take a look at the players who have to step up in this game:

1. Brandon Carr: The Ravens don’t have Jimmy Smith and the secondary is struggling. The Ravens will have a hard time winning this game if Marlon Humphrey is the only cornerback the team can count on. Carr has to play better than he has in the previous two weeks. A good game for Carr could result in the secondary turning things around. A bad game for Carr could lead to more problems. The secondary has had multiple issues. This one is the easiest to fix. The Ravens just need a veteran cornerback to reel himself in and play well.
