The Baltimore Ravens are 2-2 and have a big battle today with the Pittsburgh Steelers. I turned to the Ravens Flock for some bold predictions via Twitter. Here is what they’re calling and what I think about it:

Marcus Whyche’s prediction (@mwhyche22): The Ravens defense causes 4 turnovers and the offense shows why they’re one of the top offenses in the league. Lamar Jackson throws for 300 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Verdict: Sell

The Ravens defense may turn things around in Pittsburgh however the confidence I have in them is not high enough for me to buy this one. The secondary has been problematic and four turnovers seems like wishful thinking. I’m down with Jackson having three touchdowns however I think he has more like 250 yards passing and 50 on the ground.

Andrew Houser’s prediction (@theajraven52):

  • Lamar 275 yards or more with  passing 3 touchdowns and 75 yards or more rushing and a touchdown on the ground.
  • Hollywood and Andrews catch a TD
  • Defense will get 4 sacks and 2 interceptions
  • 34-10 Baltimore

Verdict: Buy

I really like the idea of a compelling victory for the Ravens. That’s the way it has been in 2019. Everything is rolling or everything is a bit off. I think the Ravens will have one of their best efforts against the Steelers and the defense will rebound. You may have Jackson’s numbers a bit higher than they will be but I like this prediction. It could be a tight game but I love the train of thought here. The Ravens need to rebound and putting the hurt on the Steelers is a good way to do that.

@Nico_cantalupo predicts: Lamar Jackson has 400 passing yards

Verdict: Sell

So, Lamar Jackson is going to have more passing yards in this game than when he played the Miami Dolphins? The Steelers aren’t going to make life that easy in Pittsburgh. Will Jackson have a big day? Absolutely. Will he have 400 passing yards? No, that’s a bit rich.

Doug Stickley’s prediction (@kdougstrickley): Earl Thomas silences doubters with two picks second of which goes for a touchdown, leads Ravens defense out of the darkness back into the light. Lamar Jackson and the offense also gets back on track with a 31-13 thumping of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Verdict: Buy

Earlier I sold the notion that the Ravens would create four takeaways. Two seems possible considering they got one in their worst showing, last week. Earl Thomas getting two picks and a pick six may be hard because Mason Rudolph doesn’t throw the ball down the field much. Thomas has something to prove and him having a big performance would help in many ways. I like the idea of Thomas being a difference maker.

I will say it until I am blue in the face and I will type it until my fingers fall off, I think the Ravens show much better effort this week. The Ravens rolling wouldn’t surprise me. The fact that I still believe in this team after last week says something. If this is the team I think it is, they will go win this game and they will do it with some style.

@YoruguaThe predicts: The Ravens defense will have a big comeback

Verdict: Buy

I don’t think the Ravens defense will ever be dominant this year, but we’ve seen rock bottom. There is no way the Ravens can sink lower on the defensive side of the ball right? The Browns game was the worst performance of all worst performances. With the only place to go being up, that’s exactly where the defense will go.

We also have to remember that this is the opportune time for Baltimore to figure some things out defensively. Mason Rudolph is the most beatable quarterback on the schedule for the rest of the season. The Ravens still have to play Russell Wilson, Tom Brady and Deshaun Watson. The Ravens don’t have time to get right later, they have to do it this week. This game should serve as a confidence booster, but they have to go out and get it. I like the idea of the Ravens beating a banged up 1-3 Steelers team. Cross your fingers, knock on wood and get ready for this one to come true.

@aliiekitty predicts: Another hat Trick for Mark Ingram. (3 touchdowns)

Verdict: Buy

I don’t think the Steelers are going to be able to stop Ingram so I am inclined to say yes to this one. When you look at Ingram averaging six yards per rushing attempt and you look at the Steelers defense, this seems very plausible. The only thing that can stop Ingram in this game will be Greg Roman. If the Ravens don’t feed him enough it will be frustrating. Ingram has been a star for the Ravens and he needs to be given the football more often.

Chris Hill’s prediction (@BlackMagic0312):

  • Going to be a tight game as always. Steelers hand in there till 4th quarter.
  • Defense fixes some things but still needs more time to gel.
  • With that said Lamar will lead his first career come back victory. Ravens 21 Steelers 17

Verdict: Buy

While I have been pretty clear that I think the Ravens win this one convincingly I’m not going to pretend your prediction isn’t realistic. That’s what the history of this match up dictates. It’s either a game where one team pulls away or it’s the most nervous TV watching in human history. There isn’t much in between.

The defense isn’t going from awful to amazing in a week. I agree the defense will look better. A better effort will fix a lot. The Ravens also had a whole week to figure some things out. They’re professionals and I expect that they came up with some answers. It should be much better, however there are issues that are going to linger a bit. I agree with your second prediction.

The third prediction is awesome. I think Lamar Jackson is such a clutch quarterback and he will be able to handle the Heinz Field atmosphere. If the Ravens need a big moment from Jackson, they will get it.

@edthehead84 predicts: My bold prediction :

  1. 1. I will get ticked off
  2. 2. I will see something on offense that will make me smile and know the future will be special
  3. 3. When the game is over, I will be happy, I think.
  4. Ferguson will get a sack

Verdict: Buy

It’s not a Ravens game unless they give you a reason to throw something so, number one is coming true. I am all on board with Lamar Jackson and company. When you think about the young nucleus of talent on this offense it’s hard not to be excited. I like that you’re thinking big picture and one week at a time in the same thought process. I think the Ravens win this game. I really do. That means number three should come true. You know I’m a big Jaylon Ferguson fan. I think more playing time for him is a good thing. He has a promising future and it could very well begin by sacking Mason Rudolph.

Thanks so much to everybody who contributed to this post. All your predictions were awesome to see. If I didn’t get to your prediction, keep sending them in. I get an awful lot of predictions sometimes. Happy game day Baltimore! Let’s do this thing!
