The Bad:

The Ravens running game was contained very well by the Steelers. Lamar Jackson managed to get 77 yards on the ground however Mark Ingram II and Gus Edwards were bottled up. Ingram only had 44 yards and averaged 2.3 yards per carry. Lamar Jackson had three interceptions in this game. While two of them weren’t really his fault, it was a frustrating day for Jackson. Jackson only had 161 yards through the air. Jackson was sacked five times by five different Steelers. Jackson gets away from a lot of pass rushers so this offensive line could be worse than the box score suggests.

The offense stalled, settled for too many field goals and showed major inconsistency. The fact that the Ravens went on a 13 play, touchdown drive in the first half almost makes their less impressive drives worse. The Ravens showed what the offense was capable of doing with several great drives. Going on a clutch drive for the game tying field goal was great but why couldn’t they move the ball like that throughout the ball game? Why does the offense range from amazing to downright awful with little in between?

The Ravens still have a tackling problem. There were a handful of instances where the Ravens missed tackles they should have made. The defense may have prevented big stats from piling up against them this week, however they were anything but dominant. The Steelers took the  momentum at the end of the first half and they didn’t give it back. Things just seemed to go against the Ravens in this one. If you watched that game after the fact you probably asked yourself “How did the Ravens win this game?” It wasn’t a confidence producing game and that’s putting it nicely.
