Darin McCann makes his pick:

Tough game ahead for the Ravens this week as they head on the road to do battle with the 5-1 Seattle Seahawks, and their MVP-candidate quarterback, Russell Wilson. Tough, but not impossible.

If the Ravens can continue their excellence on the ground this weekend, and quarterback Lamar Jackson can be efficient on third downs while generating a few splash plays, as he has done throughout this season, the Ravens can be in this game until the very end.
Seattle has allowed teams to stay in the game most weeks with spats of inconsistent play in their defensive backfield and a conservative offensive scheme that favors ball control and physicality, much like the Ravens. So, basically, if the Ravens don’t punish themselves with careless turnovers and penalties, they should be afforded some opportunities to win this thing.

Now, if the defense can take their game up a notch, and they have been showing some small signs of tightening things up these past two weeks, then the odds begin to tilt a little into the Ravens favor. A timely interception by Seattle-favorite Earl Thomas in his much-hyped return, and a “shock” play by Justice Hill or Miles Boykin could give the Ravens a clear edge. Add in a strong performance by the best kicker of all time, and I see this game as the first real quality win of the Ravens 2019 season.

Bold predictions
Brandon Williams and the Ravens front limits the Seahawks to less than 80 yards on the ground, making their offense more pass-heavy.

• Weird things seem to happen when big-time players get into big-time moments, and Earl Thomas will prove that against the Seahawks, grabbing Wilson’s first interception of the season and recovering a Chris Carson fumble.

• Lamar Jackson both throws a 50-yard-plus completion and breaks off a 50-plus yard run.

Final score
Ravens 30 Seahawks 23
