Marlon Humphrey:

Man, Twitter was slamming Marlon Humphrey for his “poor” start to the game vs. the Seattle Seahawks. On some absolute dimes from Russell Wilson, Humphrey was suddenly at the mercy of the passing game and was victimized by Tyler Lockett on some perfect throws.

That narrative changed in a hurry once Humphrey was able to force Wilson into some poor throws and lock down his side of the field. Don’t forget that he had his second defensive touchdown of the season on a scoop-and-score fumble recovery from D.K. Metcalf. Yeah, I’d say that Humphrey was just fine.

In one of the biggest games of his young career, Marlon Humphrey was another bright spot for the Baltimore Ravens. He was far from perfect, as many will tell you, but he performed admirably against one of the three best quarterbacks in the NFL right now.

The Seahawks have some serious talent at the wide receiver position, too. Between Lockett and Metcalf, Humphrey was in for a dogfight all day long. All he did was hold Wilson under 50.0% completion and give up a single touchdown pass… ya know, like every cornerback in the NFL does.

The fact that we call Marlon Humphrey’s performance vs. Seattle a “bad game” speaks volumes to his skills. Humphrey was a difference-maker and put the game away with his late touchdown score.
