The Baltimore Ravens have a huge game against the New England Patriots. Here are the predictions from the Ebony Bird round table:

Site expert, Chris Schisler:

The Baltimore Ravens are going to take down the New England Patriots. The match up and the context of the game favors the Ravens. The Ravens run game is going to be New England’s kryptonite. Baltimore will be fueled by the same core ingredient as they had with their previous battles with the Patriots. The Ravens are the underdog with a chip on their shoulder. The Ravens may have a different cast of characters, however let’s not pretend that John Harbaugh and company forgot about the classic battles against the Patriots. The Ravens are a physical football team that wants to run you into the ground with their running game. Beating the Patriots is about getting them off their game. Lamar Jackson can get any defense off their game.

The emotions of this game work in Baltimore’s favor. The Ravens are at home and they are taking on a team that many pundits have already crowned Super Bowl champions. The Ravens weren’t taken seriously by a good bit of the sports media world against the Seattle Seahawks. People are lining up to take a Patriots team that hasn’t beaten anybody over a Ravens team on a roll and coming off a bye week. The Ravens are going to be up for this game and they will be fueled by the M&T Bank Stadium crowd.

A few things will happen in this game to give Baltimore the edge. First, Don Martindale will make sure that Brady is uncomfortable in the pocket. Secondly, Mark Andrews is going to prove to be a match up nightmare for the Patriots. Andrews having a big day will allow Jackson to get the passing game going and this will keep the New England defense honest. Finally, the Ravens will keep the run game going for lengthy drives that bend the will of the Patriots’ defense. The Ravens will win 24-14.
