Derrick Brown:

The Baltimore Ravens have always had a good defensive line. The strength of the unit is in its big bodies that don’t get moved off their spot to smother the run. Unfortunately, the unit isn’t exactly known for getting sacks, and this is something that the team desperately needs more of.

Insert Auburn’s defensive tackle, Derrick Brown.

Must Read. Superlatives for Baltimore Ravens at halfway point of the season. light

Brown is absurdly strong at the point of attack and wins with brute strength and determination. A motor that never runs cold, Brown is someone that the Ravens would love to add to their front-seven.

What makes Brown so enticing is that he could’ve been a top-50 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, but opted to return to school for a variety of reasons. Since returning, Brown has firmly established himself as one of the ten best players in the 2020 NFL Draft class. The Ravens would likely have to move up in order to obtain his services, but he’d be well worth it.

To put it simply, Derrick Brown is an ass-kicker. Having a defensive lineman who can do a little bit of everything at a high-level but also is a vocal leader for the defense is special. Should he be within striking distance, the Baltimore Ravens would have to take a long, hard look at Brown and the total package he brings to a defense in need of attitude and toughness.
