D’Andre Swift:

Call this a luxury pick if you will, but D’Andre Swift was born to be a Baltimore Raven. The deadly combination of speed that he and Lamar Jackson would give the team’s backfield is terrifying.

D’Andre Swift is stout, quick, and makes plays no matter how many touches he gets. Swift lives up to his last name, as he cuts through defenses like a hot knife through butter. He’s so smooth and is a terrific receiver out of the backfield. He’ll bring back some fond memories of Ray Rice. As far as the 2020 NFL Draft running back prospects go, he may be the best of the best.

What makes Swift so alluring to Baltimore would be the potential to match him and Lamar Jackson in the same offense. Both players possess rare speed and athleticism, making for a dynamic duo that would be hard to stop. Teaming these two together is almost unfair.

The Ravens do have plenty of running back depth, but adding a true difference-maker in Swift is hard to pass up. While Mark Ingram continues to prove his worth, he is also aging and not a long-term solution. Gus Edwards isn’t the receiver that Swift is, and Justice Hill is a discounted version of Swift. Why not get a guy who can be better than all three of them?

The Baltimore Ravens are a good team with few glaring needs, but the aforementioned players are all excellent fits for what the Ravens could use moving forward. The 2020 NFL Draft looks to be a talented one, and Baltimore would be wise to add any one of these five players to their roster.
