My Team Needs: LB, EDGE, WR, IOL, S, IDL, RB

Fifth Round (151st overall): Raequan Williams, IDL, Michigan State

Class: RS Senior

Height: 6’4″

Weight: 304 lbs

I’ve watched Raequan Williams during games before and the way commentators talked about him I assumed he’d be a Day Two lock but I guess not. Reading through the scouting reports the thing that popped out to me the most is his lack of weaknesses. Williams is a long, quick, and smart interior pass rusher whose only weakness seems to be his hand placement on opposing offensive linemen’s pads. Williams possesses the physical traits all NFL defensive coaches look for these days and with the superior coaching staff in Baltimore, he’d be an absolute steal. The Ravens haven’t really had a lanky and quick interior pass rusher in recent so Williams would be a refreshing addition and a sneaky late add in the 2020 NFL Draft.

2020 NFL Draft Summary:

My Team Needs: LB, EDGE, WR, IOL, S, IDL, RB

Mocked 2020 NFL Draft class:

  • Round one: Kenneth Murray, LB, Oklahoma
  • Round two: DeVonta Smith, WR, Alabama
  • Round three: Netane Muti, IOL, Fresno State
  • Round four: Najee Harris, RB, Alabama
  • Round four: Marlon Davidson, Edge, Auburn
  • Round five: Raequan Williams, IDL, Michigan State

I have to admit, if this was the haul Baltimore came away with in April I would be quite happy (unbiased of course…maybe). I wish I was able to take an edge sooner but the board didn’t fall that way. Granted, I was able to address almost every positional need except safety but I think that’s fine because I like the group the Ravens have right now. I think every pick fills a pressing need on the roster except for maybe Najee Harris but he could turn out to be a monster in this Ravens offense. Usually, I wouldn’t take him in that scenario but with the type of offense the Ravens run, Harris’ stock skyrocketed.

Baltimore Ravens: Lamar Jackson is playing like the league MVP. dark. Next

Murray is one of the only players in the 2020 NFL Draft who would be a picture-perfect fit in Baltimore and I honestly think he could very well be the pick come April if he’s there. Smith is my personal favorite pick because I just think he would be the missing piece for this receiving core because Baltimore hasn’t had a route-tree technician is a long time. Smith and Jackson would prove to be an amazing duo along with star receiver Marquise Brown.
