5. Arizona, the MVP called game:

The moment that made this game so special for Jackson was on the last drive of the game. The Ravens had a third down late in the game with a six point lead. They needed to keep the ball because the defense had been getting torn up by Kyler Murray. It felt like if the Ravens didn’t keep the drive going they were going to lose. Jackson hit Marquise Brown for a huge reception down the field. He got the ball to Brown in tight coverage and if the throw was even a little off the mark it wouldn’t have worked. Jackson won the second game of the season by showing off how clutch he was.

Jackson had a decent stat line in the battle against Arizona. He had 272 yards and two touchdowns as a passer. He ran the ball 16 times for 120 yards. He carried the Ravens to a victory that they had to have.

6. Running past the Seahawks

The Seahawks game wasn’t Jackson’s most impressive game as a passer. He only completed nine passes for 143 yards. That being said, the Ravens saw several dropped passes and the way that Jackson ran the ball, it didn’t matter. Jackson had 14 rushing attempts for 116 yards against the Seahawks. There were two signature plays from this game.

First, Jackson ran for a huge gain when the Ravens were backed up in their own territory on third down. Then after pleading with John Harbaugh, to go for it on a fourth down with just two yards to go, he ran the ball for a touchdown. The Ravens defense had an impressive performance however they wouldn’t have won the game without Jackson’s heroics. This was when the Ravens started to look like contenders and Jackson began to legitimize himself as an MVP candidate.
