Final thoughts on the game:

Everybody is talking about Deshaun Watson and Lamar Jackson but that’s just one of the very interesting angles of this game. These are two playoff teams heading up against each other. I do think the match up favors the Ravens. The Texans have a good run defense, however the Ravens run game is better than anything they’ve seen to this point. The Ravens have had issues stopping the run yet the additions of Domata Peko and Justin Ellis should help. As long as the Ravens have space eaters they win up front in run defense.

This is a game that Lamar Jackson can take over. If the Ravens can take advantage of the Texans secondary woes, Jackson has a chance to do it with his arm two weeks in a row. If the Texans can’t catch him in the running game, Mark Ingram and Gus Edwards are going to dominate this game. If the Ravens run the ball at will against the Texans, their ground game will prove to be unstoppable.

This game is huge when you look at the Ravens’ schedule. They play the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers next. While the Rams don’t look as tough as they did last year, this is easily the hardest three game stretch of the entire year. If the Ravens can beat the Texans, they can get a little closer to a division title and keep on track for a bye in the first week of the playoffs. This is a showcase game for the Ravens, who all the sudden are the most exciting team in the league.
