3. Keep the good times going:

The 2000 Baltimore Ravens lost their fourth game and stopped losing. They won 11 straight games and the 11th game was the Super Bowl. That’s the kind of momentum that the 2019 Ravens seem to be building, they just started their roll a bit earlier. This doesn’t feel like a normal season for the Ravens. This doesn’t feel like just any year. It’s exciting and quite frankly it still has that new car smell. The Ravens are the team with the top MVP candidate, the number one scoring offense in the league and the longest active win streak in the league. The Ravens seem to have the magic. When you have that magic in the air, you don’t want to lose it.

When teams play the Patriots there is an intimidation factor that comes into play. The Ravens have managed to be impervious to this, which is why they have more playoff success against the Patriots than any team in their conference. The Ravens have a chance to build that kind of an intimidation factor. Nobody wants to play the Ravens. Nobody wants to have to slow down Lamar Jackson, Mark Ingram and the best run game the NFL has seen in years. Nobody wants to be beat around the way that the Ravens have beaten teams this year. The Ravens haven’t just had huge blowout wins against teams like the Dolphins and the Bengals; the Ravens have clobbered the Seahawks, Patriots and Texans.

The Ravens have a chance to make the AFC go through Baltimore. They have a chance to build an intimidation factor similar to that of the Patriots and they can keep the magic in the air. When you look at the kind of momentum the Ravens keep accumulating, there could be no stopping them. They just have to keep the foot on the gas pedal. They can’t stop themselves.
