Ravens beat Bills: The good, bad and the ugly
The Good:
The Baltimore Ravens defense was very impressive in this game (for the most part). The Ravens had six sacks and forced a couple Josh Allen fumbles. The Bills were held in check for most of the game. The defense had some scary moments late in the game (we’ll get to that) but there were some good things. This was a great defensive battle overall. Marcus Peters had the tight coverage on the deciding fourth down stop. The Ravens are now 11-2 and have won nine straight games. The Ravens got won of their tougher wins, on the road. This was their last really good team on their schedule and the purple and black prevailed.
Lamar Jackson didn’t have the most unbelievable day, yet it was impressive. Jackson had three touchdowns. He hit Nick Boyle for an improvised toss near the goal line. He found Hayden Hurst for a lengthy touchdown reception and he hit Willie Snead in the end zone. He only had 145 yards and he had a pick, but it was an efficient game against a very stingy defense. The Bills defense gets kudos for frustrating the Ravens the most, but Baltimore gets the win. The Ravens still got over 100 yards on the ground and they stuck to the formula. It was tougher than usual, but it was good that the Ravens didn’t go away from their game.
The offense had to deal with the fact that Mark Andrews missed most of the game. Hayden Hurst had to step up as a receiver and he did. Hurst had 73 receiving yards and the most impressive touchdown of the game. The Ravens can exhale. They won two tough games in a row.
