Hayden Hurst:

Ravens Flock has been waiting for Hayden Hurst to breakout and he did just that against the Buffalo Bills.

All year long Hurst has been the team’s third tight end behind Mark Andrews and Nick Boyle. Hurst has struggled to make a significant impact throughout the season despite his high status as a former first-round draft pick.

Early on during the Bills game Andrews went down with a knee contusion, immediately putting pressure on Hurst to shine. Hurst more than rose up to the occasion, reeling in three passes for 73-yards and a touchdown. That touchdown Hurst had was a thing of beauty, as he simply out-ran the defense with pure determination to score.

Seeing Hurst show up and make a play when it mattered most was amazing. If Andrews is out long-term, which it doesn’t appear to be the case, Ravens fans can at least sleep comfortably knowing that Hayden Hurst can be the big-play threat the team envisioned he’d be. For that, Hurst has earned himself a game ball.
