Nobody cares, work harder. That’s the mantra that NFL MVP frontrunner Lamar Jackson has embodied as the superstar signal-caller of the Baltimore Ravens. We’ve known he’s been capable of setting the football world on fire since his sophomore year at Louisville when he won the 2016 Heisman Trophy but is Lamar Jackson Twitter getting out of hand?

On this week’s episode of Stacking the Box, FanSided‘s Matt Verderame and Josh Hill, along with former NFL offensive lineman Geoff Schwartz, discuss how great Jackson is, but how his fans on Twitter are starting to become insufferable (28:01).

In previous episodes of Stacking the Box, both Schwartz and Verderame have been critical of Jackson’s game. Schwartz had gone as far as to say that “Lamar Jackson fanboys are going to get a reality check” on Sunday Night Football vs. the New England Patriots. Well, Jackson’s Ravens won who game and handed New England its first loss of the season at the end of October.

Verderame hasn’t been willing to say Jackson is the no-doubt MVP frontrunner throughout this season. He has been in favor of other great quarterbacks like Patrick Mahomes and Russell Wilson over No. 8 for Baltimore throughout the 2019 NFL season.

Verderame loves watching the guy play but doesn’t love it when Lamar Jackson Twitter loses its mind when Jackson completes a 60-yard touchdown bomb to tight end Hayden Hurst when he’s wide open. That being said, if it were Mahomes throwing it to Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins or Mecole Hardman, you’d never hear the end of it from him.

Like Jackson, Lamar Jackson Twitter shouldn’t care about the criticism. Nobody cares, work harder. Look for Jackson and the Ravens to get to 12-2 by beating the ever-living snot out of the flightless New York Jets on Thursday Night Football in Week 15. That’ll surely send a message that the Ravens are the best team in football and nobody else remotely deserves the MVP over Jackson.

Here are a few other topics discussed on this week’s episode of Stacking the Box:

  • FanSided 250, Verderame and Schwartz’s interests (0:40)
  • Verderame, Schwartz break down bad TLC shows (5:01)
  • Who are the real Super Bowl contenders? (52:20)
  • What to watch for in Week 15 (54:14)

All this and more!
