The Baltimore Ravens play the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football. Here are three predictions for the big game:

1. Lamar Jackson has one of his best days as a passer:

There has been some speculation that Lamar Jackson could miss this game for the Ravens, but it looks like he’s good to go. You may be surprised to hear that the New York Jets have the second best run defense in the NFL. The Jets have a top 10 defense and the Ravens will most likely be without Lamar Jackson in the passing game. The Ravens could even be missing Mark Andrews, who is listed as questionable. This is the perfect game for Jackson to show why he is the MVP. Carving up the Jets defense as a passer while the offense isn’t at full strength would add to Jackson’s case for the MVP award. It will also loosen the defense up so the Ravens can run the ball.

Jackson has been in two prime time games this season. Against the New England Patriots he had 224 total yards and three touchdowns. Jackson had five touchdown passes and a perfect passer rating against the Rams. Jackson sent a statement on Sunday Night Football. He wowed on Monday Night Football. Tonight he’s going to show off. That’s just what Jackson does. On a night where the Ravens can win the AFC North and have a national audience, Jackson will be at his best.

In the past two games the weather has been a real hindrance to Jackson’s numbers as a passer. The Ravens faced a great defense in the rain, then fought a great defense in the wind. It’s going to be a normal December day in Baltimore today. It’s cold, but that’s it. It feels like Jackson is due for a big day through the air.
