2. Can Robert Griffin III play mistake free football?

The Pittsburgh Steelers have a defense that is very good. The Ravens will be playing against a top tier defense with their backup quarterback. Robert Griffin III is a backup who has had experience that is both good and bad. The good news for the Ravens is that there isn’t a single play they can run with Lamar Jackson that they can’t use with Griffin III in the game.

The Ravens should still be expected to play their style of football. It may not be as explosive without Jackson, Ingram II or Andrews in the game however if the Ravens can run the ball, everything is set up for the Ravens.

Then it’s just up to Griffin III not to make a mistake with ball security. He needs to show that he can play within himself and manage the game. On paper he is one of the best back ups in football yet he has to prove that this is true in the action of the game.

The Ravens have to hope that this is the last time they need Griffin III for the 2019-2020 season. They can’t expect their backup to be the same player as Jackson. Nobody in the world can play exactly like Jackson, that’s why he’s the MVP. The Ravens should expect him to play mistake free football that doesn’t make Roman change the style of this offense. The Ravens are going to learn how good of a back up quarterback they have. They are going to learn whether he can give them a chance to win a game against a tough defense.
