5. Miami Dolphins: Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama

Is Tua Tagovailoa building a resume that has us thinking he’s injury prone? No doubt, but his talent is too good to pass on. In most drafts, Tagovailoa is the top quarterback and a likely number one overall pick, but here he slips to the Miami Dolphins and gives them a foundation for the future of the franchise.

6. Los Angeles Chargers: Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon

Philip Rivers may or may not be back for the 2020 season, but the Los Angeles Chargers still have to consider a quarterback of the future with the sixth pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Justin Herbert has plenty of critics, but he has the athleticism and a lively arm that will have many believing in his upside.

7. Carolina Panthers: Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia

The 2020 NFL Draft offensive tackle crop is muddled at the moment, but I believe that Andrew Thomas is the best of the bunch. The Carolina Panthers must address their tackle spots if they want to contend. Adding Thomas to protect Cam Newton or whoever is playing quarterback for the Panthers is of the highest priority.

8. Arizona Cardinals: CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma

Even if Larry Fitzgerald comes back for the 2020 season the Arizona Cardinals need a success plan. Christian Kirk is a fine Y-receiver, but the rest of the cast is little more than role-players. CeeDee Lamb could be the best wide receiver of this class when it’s all said and done, and he is a seamless fit for Kliff Kingsbury‘s offense.
