4. Marlon Humphrey

Marlon Humphrey is having the best season of his career and he’s starting to have the turnover numbers to show it. Humphrey has scored on two fumble recoveries this season. Forcing JuJu Smith-Schuster to fumble and getting the recovery was the play that started the Ravens 12 game win steak. Humphrey also has three interceptions this season. The stats never really tell the story with Humphrey who is more about suffocating coverage than he is picking off passes. That being said, the stats are his friend this season.

Humphrey is arguably the best player on the Ravens’ defense. When the team was struggling in the secondary to begin the year, Humphrey was the one player who wasn’t a part of the problem. Humphrey has shut down some of the best receivers in the game and he’s easily been the most consistent defensive player this season. This is the first All-Pro selection for Humphrey, who has been one of the best players at his position since his rookie season in 2017.

Humphrey had to pick a new number when he relinquished the number 29 to Earl Thomas. The number 44 jersey has been working out for Humphrey. On top of this first team All-Pro selection he has earned a spot on the AFC Pro Bowl roster. Humphrey is getting the credit he deserves for being one of the hardest cornerbacks to complete a pass against. Humphrey is the leader of a Ravens’ secondary that has two other Pro Bowl players. There are some other great defensive backs on the All-Pro roster and Humphrey may be the best of the bunch.
