2. Lamar Jackson has something to prove:

The Ravens playoff game against the Los Angeles Chargers is going to be a big motivator for Lamar Jackson. Jackson’s only playoff game to date went about as poorly as it could have gone, even with some of his late game heroics. Jackson has proven doubters wrong all season. The critics who said he couldn’t throw saw Jackson have two games with a perfect passer rating. The critics who said he wouldn’t last the season because of his playing style are getting ready to watch him in the playoffs. Jackson’s next doubt to eliminate is his ability to perform in the NFL postseason.

When Jackson got his first playoff start, he wasn’t ready for it. It also didn’t help that Marty Mornhinweg had a horrendously lazy game plan. Now it’s hard to imagine a moment being too big for the Ravens’ MVP. Jackson has played at a high level this season and he did his best when the team needed him the most.

Jackson carried the Ravens to a win against the Seattle Seahawks. In addition to beating Russell Wilson‘s Seahawks, Jackson has outgunned Tom Brady and Deshaun Watson. Jackson does whatever he has to do to get the job done. His accomplishments don’t need to be listed out for you to understand that he is a completely different player than he was last January.

The Titans should be afraid that this game is under the lights at M&T Bank Stadium. Jackson has been incredible in prime time games this season. Against the Patriots, Jackson had 163 yards passing and ran for 61. Against the Rams he had five touchdown passes and 264 total yards. Jackson added five more prime time touchdowns against the Jets as well as 298 total yards. The Ravens have had three prime time games and Jackson has scored 12 touchdowns and had almost 900 yards of production. One of the things that makes Jackson special is that he is a big game player. When he’s got the national audience, with something to prove, Jackson goes off for one of the most magical days you’ll ever see. That’s what he does.
