Make Ryan Tannehill uncomfortable:

If you find a way to slow down Derrick Henry you can neutralize this offense. However, the Titans still have had good, if not great, quarterback play out of Ryan Tannehill. Baltimore can’t afford to take him lightly.

Tannehill has put together his best season in 2019 and it’s because the offense built around him brings out his strengths. Rookie wide receiver A.J. Brown flourished with Tannehill to the tune of 1,000-yard season. Guys like Tajae Sharpe and Jonnu Smith also found success this year, giving Tennessee a plethora of talent to throw to.

The Ravens have to find a way to get Tannehill off rhythm and the best way to do this is to take away the play-action pass. We already discussed slowing down Derrick Henry, now Baltimore has to hold tight coverage against the Titans weapons. Marlon Humphrey, Marcus Peters, and Jimmy Smith will need to be on their A-game. The pass rush will manufacture itself if the coverage holds tight.

Ryan Tannehill may not be elite, but he’s way above-average and shouldn’t be overlooked. The Baltimore Ravens can easily develop a game plan to stop him, but they’ll need to execute it at a high-level to keep him below-average.
