Baltimore Ravens: Full seven-round 2020 NFL Mock Draft 2.0
My Team Needs: EDGE, LB, WR, IOL, S, IDL, RB
Fifth Round (152nd overall): Shaquille Quarterman, LB, Miami
Class: Senior (22 years old)
Height: 6’1″
Weight: 241 lbs
Due to the way the board fell I wasn’t able to snag a linebacker early in the draft without reaching so finally I get one here. Shaquille Quarterman is a very physical linebacker and doesn’t shy away from contact at all. He’s not afraid to impose his will on any player that steps in front of him and he’s also solid when blitzing as well. He’s a tank at the first and second level which also means he doesn’t have the best coverage skills. The Ravens would be best suited to use him on early downs or in obvious run stuffing situations because relying on him in zone coverage wouldn’t be the best idea. Quarterman would provide a piece to this defense the Ravens don’t really have.

What a draft this would be if the Ravens walked away with this haul. I was able to hit almost every positional need without reaching except for interior defensive line. The opportunity was just never there nor do I see it as a major need. The position I do wish I could’ve addressed better is the middle linebacker position. In my last mock, I was able to address it in the first round with linebacker Kenneth Murray but with Dylan Moses returning to Alabama there’s not a chance he’ll be there. I’m still happy with Curtis Weaver because he’d be a presence on that Baltimore defensive line but Kenneth Murray is the dream pick for the first round.
In the second, third, and fourth rounds I was able to find exceptional value, especially with Brandon Aiyuk and Antoine Winfield Jr. Both of those players are going to be foundational pieces for this team if they end up in Baltimore come April. Clyde Edwards-Helaire is a bit of a luxury pick but the fit was something I couldn’t pass up. If Eric DeCosta is able to haul in anything close to this draft class then Ravens fans will be happy, I promise.
