Marcus Peters:

We have just one game ball left and we’re giving it to the best midseason acquisition in the entire league: Marcus Peters.

Peters has often been seen as one of the NFL’s most inconsistent players. There are times of brilliance and there are times of head-scratching, infuriating play. In 2019, Peters turned his play into perfection and was undoubtedly one of the best of the best.

It didn’t matter whether or not you threw his direction, because Peters was likely going to be in on the play. Peters had five interceptions on the season, including three with Baltimore. Three of those five picks were returned for touchdowns (two with the Ravens). Peters also broke up 10 passes and locked down whoever was lined up in front of him.

Peters brought an awesome, tone-setting attitude to Baltimore’s defense. It was a natural ability for him to get into the heads of his opponent with his trash-talking ways. Better yet, he backed up the talk.

Overall, there were few acquisitions throughout the league that paid off the way Marcus Peters did for the Baltimore Ravens in 2019. Baltimore applauded his efforts by extending his contract and locking him up for the long-run. Ravens Flock couldn’t be more excited.
