The offensive line:

We’re kinda cheating here, but the Baltimore Ravens offensive line as a whole was dominant in 2019. It all starts with left tackle Ronnie Stanley. Stanley has long been one of the NFL’s best young tackles and he finally got the praise he deserved in 2019. Stanley was given his first career Pro Bowl as well as a First-Team All-Pro selection.

Stanley’s partner in crime, Orlando Brown Jr., was equally successful. After a disastrous combine that dropped “Zeus Jr.” to the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft, he’s turned his NFL fortunes around and is one of the league’s dominant right tackles. He’s just too big and strong to be meddled with, and it shows on a weekly basis.

Baltimore Ravens need Mark Ingram healthy to win it all. light. More

On the interior, we all know what Marshal Yanda is about. Yanda got his eighth Pro Bowl selection and seventh All-Pro nod. To the surprise of no one, Yanda played at a high level all year long and gave the run game the boost that they needed.

The story of the year goes to the left guard and center positions for the team; spots that were glaring weaknesses headed into the year. Matt Skura was damn near flawless at center considering the low expectations that he had entering the year. An untimely injury cut his season short, but Patrick Mekari has also been a stud as his replacement. At left guard, Bradley Bozeman has flourished. After a forgettable rookie campaign, Bozeman has proven to be a stud on the interior and benefited from a move to guard from center.

We can’t end this without giving props to James Hurst, the league’s best swing tackle. In relief for Stanley on Thursday Night Football vs. the New York Jets, he was perfect. Hurst gives the line that extra boost when he’s on the field and we won’t overlook that.

Now do you see why I had to give the entire unit a game ball?
