Miles Boykin:

Speaking of passing the football, the wide receiver group will need to be better for the Baltimore Ravens next year. Marquise Brown was a great selection and should be even better next year considering he was coming off of a Lisfranc injury. As a rookie, he was clearly Lamar Jackson’s favorite receiver, but Marquise Brown’s draft mate, Miles Boykin, is another receiver that will need to step up and become a great receiver for Lamar Jackson. Baltimore traded up to select Miles Boykin and it is easy to see why. He is a very intelligent receiver with rare physical traits that caused his draft stock to shoot up.

His rookie campaign ended with him catching 13 passes for 198 yards and three touchdowns. Somewhat disappointing considering Miles Boykin was probably the third wide receiver on the depth chart coming into the season, but Seth Roberts ended up being more productive than him. Miles Boykin does have all the tools to be great, he needs to put them together this offseason. The biggest issue with Boykin this year was getting separation from opposing cornerbacks. If he can consistently get separation, his large catch radius and speed will be invaluable to the Ravens offense.

Some extra motivation should be coming to Miles Boykin in the form of new teammates acquired through the draft. Wide receiver was one of the biggest needs all season and luckily for Baltimore, the upcoming draft is teeming with wide receivers everywhere. The Ravens know that they have found a great receiver in Marquise Brown, I have little doubt they are hoping to land another one in the draft.

Miles Boykin will face some pressure coming into the 2020 season to progress. If he is able to maximize his physical ability, the Baltimore Ravens very well could go from one of the worst receiving groups in the NFL to one of the best. If this happens, the Ravens offense could look very different and be even better next year.
