5. Miami Dolphins: Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama

I feel pretty good about Tua Tagovailoa being the best quarterback from this draft class if he can just stay healthy. The Miami Dolphins likely feel the same way and have no problem investing high draft capital in a potential franchise quarterback.

6. Los Angeles Chargers: Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon

You don’t get to pick in the top-ten very often, so when you do you need to do what’s best for your future. For the Los Angeles Chargers, that’s getting a quarterback to fill in for Philip Rivers once he finally hangs it up. Justin Herbert will be a media darling throughout the 2020 NFL Draft process and his pure arm talent will win plenty of teams over. The Chargers would love to snag him and potentially sit him behind Rivers and develop him a bit.

7. Carolina Panthers: Jordan Love, QB, Utah State

Make that three quarterbacks in a row and four in the first seven picks. Jordan Love is this year’s version of Josh Allen, so if you’re all about traits you’re likely going to fall for Love. The Carolina Panthers future is uncertain with Cam Newton‘s injuries beginning to pile up. They’ll do something similar to the Los Angeles Chargers here and capitalize on their draft position with a quarterback of the future.

8. Arizona Cardinals: CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma

For my money, CeeDee Lamb is the best wide receiver in the 2020 NFL Draft class. Lamb’s after-the-catch skills are second to none and the Arizona Cardinals would love to get him back with his college quarterback, Kyler Murray.
