Amari Cooper:

Amari Cooper’s career has been a fascinating one. The 25-year old receiver out of Alabama has recorded four Pro Bowl selections in his first five seasons, but it feels like he’s yet to reach his potential. Drops have often plagued him, but his body control is unreal at times. Cooper has enjoyed his best football playing with Dak Prescott in Dallas, but could his time with the Cowboys be coming to an end?

Dallas has to spend big money this offseason and decide who to pay with guys like Cooper and Prescott hitting Free Agency. Cooper may be setting sail for a new team and the Baltimore Ravens would be a terrific landing spot.

When he was with the then-Oakland Raiders, Cooper’s drop issues were never more evident. Upon his arrival in Dallas, those same issues were significantly lessened. It doesn’t seem like a coincidence that Cooper went from the hard-throwing Derek Carr to the more touch-passing Dak Prescott. Cooper simply plays better with a quarterback who doesn’t throw serious heat and Lamar Jackson is a similar thrower to Prescott. In other words, Cooper would flourish with the Ravens.

Baltimore has a need for an outside receiver, too, as Chris Moore and Seth Roberts are unlikely to return in 2020. That leaves just Marquise Brown, Willie Snead, Miles Boykin, and Jaleel Scott on the roster. Cooper would give that receiving corps a major boost and take an already great offense over the top.

Adding Cooper to the Ravens almost seems unfair, but he’s a need and a great fit for what the team is trying to build.
