2. Breshad Perriman

Breshad Perriman had a decent year for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He had 36 receptions for 645 yards and six touchdowns. He averaged over 17 yards per reception and was a big play threat for Tampa Bay. Perriman is a free agent and a reunion is a bad idea for Baltimore. Perriman has a chance to carve out a decent career for himself. It turns out that all he needed was a change of scenery to have some success. Good for him. Bringing him back to Baltimore would offer him a chance at a nice redemption story, yet it would also put him under a lot of pressure.

Perriman was a bust for the Baltimore Ravens. He was a first round draft pick who missed his entire rookie season. Baltimore got restless and the fanbase wasn’t exactly patient with him. Perriman had a case of the drops. Despite having all the physical ability that makes receivers rich in the NFL, Perriman was failing to get the job done.

The pressure to succeed in Baltimore wasn’t good for Perriman. Coming back and reuniting with that baggage doesn’t seem like the right fit for the player, even if the team is interested in signing him. The Ravens would look awfully foolish if they gave Perriman a second chance and it went the same way.

Let’s also not get too ahead of ourselves with Perriman. Here is a receiver who is coming off of his best ever season of just 36 grabs. How high is the ceiling for Perriman? How much more can you realistically expect from him? Is 2019 Perriman the best it’s ever going to get? Because of these questions and the Ravens’ history with the player, Perriman should not be on the free agency wish list in Baltimore.
