3. Jimmy Smith:

What could Jimmy Smith have become if he could just stay healthy? This is a question that Baltimore ravens fans will wonder until our dying days, but in the meantime, we still got a pretty rock-solid career out of the 31-year old cornerback.

Smith is set to be an unrestricted free agent and given Baltimore’s depth at the position, you’d likely think that he’s a goner. Not so fast.

Right now, Baltimore has Marlon Humphrey and Marcus Peters slated to be their starters with Tavon Young returning from injury to be the team’s slot corner. Young is tremendous when he’s healthy, but health has not been on his side. In his four seasons in the NFL, Young has missed two of them due to season-ending injuries. Young is worth every penny of his contract when he’s available, but he simply isn’t reliable enough to be counted on.

Brandon Carr could be back, but the Ravens have an option in his contract if they choose to move on. Suddenly Jimmy Smith is a must bring back for the team.

Smith will be 32-years old by the time the season starts, but he played at a high-level in 2019 despite not being 100%. Baltimore can still rely on Smith to play well in 2020 and should make bringing him back one of their top priorities.

Verdict: Resign him
