2. Bryce Huff:

Matt Judon could be the next Ravens outside linebacker to get big money and Bryce Huff is built almost exactly like him. Huff has a real thick frame and he’s one of the most disruptive forces on the edge that the 2020 NFL Draft has. He’s a player capable of knifing through the offensive line. In terms of the eye test he’s exciting. It’s easy to see that Huff has a very high ceiling. He has a explosive ability and a high motor.

Bleacher Reports’ Brad Shepard listed Huff as one of his “Week 14 NFL Draft Risers.” This is what he wrote about Huff’s performance against Cincinnati:

"With Cincinnati breaking in new quarterback Ben Bryant, Huff pinned his ears back and got after him. He was one of the biggest playmakers on the field and in college football’s final weekend. He teamed with Joseph Dorceus for a formidable one-two punch for which the Bearcats simply had no answer. Huff finished with eight tackles (seven solo), two sacks and 3.5 tackles for loss in the 34-24 victory. He also forced a pair of fumbles and terrorized the Bearcats all night.”"

This is the kind of performance that should interest Ravens fans. That’s because the Ravens need difference makers on defense. I watched that game against Cincinnati and I thought Huff was the kind of impact player Baltimore should look for. When I started doing my draft homework, Huff’s snaps from that game was something I had to go back and take a look at. Take a look for yourself, that game tells you what Huff is all about.

While he’s flashy from the perspective of the eye test, the statistics also do him favors. His production paints the picture of a consistent and solid player. One thing that I love about Huff is that he plays very well against the run. His production vouches for that. At the defensive end position he had 49 tackles and 9.5 sacks in 2018. He followed it up with 52 tackles 6.5 sacks and two forced fumbles. I think he can be a player similar to Matt Judon, yet I think he has more upside. If you love Judon and want to see him back, the Ravens drafting Huff should be something that interests you as well.
