Bud Dupree:

Signing Bud Dupree makes all the sense in the world if the Baltimore Ravens are unable to bring back Matt Judon.

Dupree is coming off the best season of his career with 11.5 sacks and 68 total tackles. His numbers across the board were all career-bests and it just so happened to be in a contract year for him. I swear if there’s ever a time where guys have their best years it’s when their contract is getting ready to expire…

Nonetheless, Dupree looks like a finished product. He’s aged like a fine wine and looks like his best football days are ahead of him. Should the Pittsburgh Steelers opt to not franchise tag him (they’re too strapped for cash to sign him to a proper extension), Dupree will be one of the most sought after commodities on the 2020 Free Agency market.

It’s no secret that the Ravens are in desperate need of pass-rushing help even if they bring back Matt Judon. If they could find a way to get both Judon and Bud Dupree together they’d have their bookend pass rushers to complete this defense. It wouldn’t be cheap, but it would be well worth their investment.
