Second Round:

This is the perfect value at the 55th slot in the NFL Draft. The Ravens are getting a very promising wide receiver who in my opinion was the best player left on the board at a position of need. Aiyuk was one of the clear winners at the NFL Scouting combine. He ran a respectable 4.5 second 40 yard dash and had a vertical jump of 40 inches.

Production matches the traits and that’s a sign of a safe pick. In 2019 he had 65 receptions for 1,192 yards and eight touchdowns. Aiyuk is also a very good return specialist. He would give the Ravens a big boost over De’Anthony Thomas. If Aiyuk takes some time to transition at wide receiver, his special teams play should provide an instant value. If Aiyuk impresses at wide receiver in his rookie season, the Ravens could have something they never had before. They could have two young receivers that they drafted be stars for them. That would be a dream.

Outside of Patrick Queen and Kenneth Murray, Malik Harrison is the best inside linebacker in this draft class. One thing that stands out when you watch the tape of his play at Ohio State, is that he is a physical player. He’s one of the best tacklers in the entire draft class and his work against the run is very impressive. When I see Harrison, I see a player who could be a lot like Zach Orr. Orr was an aggressive linebacker who hit with purpose and made plays because of instincts and tenacity. That is the kind of player that Harrison is. Harrison can finally fill the C.J. Mosley void.

In 2019, Harrison had 75 tackles and 16.5 tackles for a loss. He had 3.5 sacks and he could be a very good blitzing linebacker, something that should intrigue Don Martindale. This was an easy pick. The Ravens are getting a great linebacker prospect from Ohio State. That tends to work out well for NFL teams in the draft.
