Ravens agree to terms with Michael Brockers

Brockers was a move that I didn’t see coming. Adding Brockers after they already traded for Campbell showed us what Eric DeCosta’s priority was. He built an incredible defensive line. The Ravens made their big splashes getting better at the line of scrimmage defensively.

Agreeing with Brockers showed how badly the Ravens wanted to do that. Brockers was a free agent who may not have been an under the radar pickup, yet it was a move few predicted. It makes you think that the Ravens’ brass thought their troubles at the five technique were more problematic than the play of their outside linebackers.

Ravens re-sign Jimmy Smith and Anthony Levine Sr.

The Ravens re-signing Jimmy Smith was a great move. The big thing to takeaway here is how underrated Smith is. Smith is a player who is a player who would be a good number two cornerback on just about any team in the NFL. The Ravens just signed a player who can shut down a lot of receivers for a very little amount of money. The market for Smith should have been higher. He’s better than Josh Norman. He’s better than a lot of cornerbacks. I hope Smith hits every incentive in his contract because he’s worth it.

Anthony Levine Sr. is a do it all player at the safety position. He’s a player who has earned a great reputation in Baltimore. He gives this secondary more depth and a player who the coaching staff knows they can depend on.

Ravens re-sign Chris Moore

The only problem with signing Chris Moore is that you are bringing back a wide receiver who gives you next to nothing on offense. If Moore was going to have a breakout season as a wide receiver, it would have been 2019. Moore is all about special teams and as long as a former special teams coordinator is the head coach of the Ravens, he’s going to have a spot here.
