Cincinnati Bengals:

The Cincinnati Bengals were busy during the 2020 Free Agency period, especially on defense. The Bengals brought in nose tackle D.J. Reader, linebacker Josh Bynes (who spent 2019 with the Baltimore Ravens), cornerbacks Trae Waynes and Mackensie Alexander, and safety Vonn Bell. These guys join established starters Geno Atkins, Carlos Dunlap, Dre Kirkpatrick, and Jessie Bates to give the team a revived defense.

The next step for Cincinnati is to fix their offense. That step will be taken after they select Joe Burrow with the first pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, but it won’t stop there. The rest of their draft should also focus on the offense. It does help that A.J. Green is back for 2020 after missing all of 2019. The team will also get back 2019 first-round pick Jonah Williams to help shore up their offensive line.

With all these upgrades it’s hard not to like the Bengals chances to rebound in 2020.

When looking at the rest of the AFC North, Cincinnati still looks a good step-or-two behind the other three teams, but they look like they could easily exceed our expectations. There’s nowhere to go but up after their horrendous 2019 season.

The way the Cincinnati Bengals attack the 2020 NFL Draft will be telling of how much they can improve in 2020. Right now, fans should be excited about what the team has done so far and their chances to perhaps ruin some AFC North rivals dreams.
