Lamar Jackson (2018 b):

There is nothing more detrimental to a team’s success than the play of their quarterback, and the Baltimore Ravens have the reigning MVP guiding their team. Baltimore moved up to get Jackson back in 2018 and they ended up with their franchise quarterback. You can’t do any better than that.

Lamar Jackson is the man. Jackson set the single-season quarterback rushing yards record (1,206-yards) in 2019 in addition to leading the NFL in passing touchdowns (36) and total touchdowns (43). Jackson was consistently blowing out the opposition and getting pulled from games for building such massive leads. It was unlike anything Ravens fans have seen before.

The team’s run game became the greatest in NFL history, but the passing attack was just as threatening. Baltimore became the first team in NFL history to average 200-yards per game both passing and rushing. Neither would’ve been possible with anyone else under center.

The way “Action” Jackson has played has turned the Ravens into the league’s most dangerous team. He can beat you with his arm and he can beat you with his legs. Jackson is incredibly intelligent and a leader for this team. Everyone is buying into what he’s about and it doesn’t look like he’ll be slowing down anytime soon.

So long as Lamar Jackson is under center the Baltimore Ravens will be legitimate Super Bowl contenders. The kid is just 23-years old and has taken the league by storm. His best football is ahead of him, and Ravens Flock should be excited about what the future holds.
