2020 NFL Draft mock 2.0: McCann’s seven-round mock for Ravens
By Darin McCann
Round 1, pick 28
A.J. Epenesa, EDGE, Iowa — He is big. He is strong. He was highly-recruited coming out of high school, and he has produced in college, notching 22 sacks and 30.5 tackles for loss over his last two years. He underwhelmed at the Combine, which might have dropped his stock a little bit, and he doesn’t have those electric skills that make you dream of 20-sack seasons. But he can rush from the inside, set the edge on the outside and I believe he has a high floor. Add him to Calais Campbell, Brandon Williams, and Derek Wolfe, and teams will not rush for 4.4 yards a carry against Baltimore next season.
Round 2, pick 55
Michael Pittman, Jr., WR, USC — I really like this pick for the Ravens. Pittman has terrific hands, does a nice job of using his body for leverage and brings that “Alpha” male attitude to the offense. No, he’s not a burner, and his specialty isn’t getting separation, but what he does, he does extremely well and should compliment the Ravens offense well, with Marquise Brown and Mark Andrews demanding their own attention, allowing Pittman to body up against one man and make plays. Another guy who has a high floor.
Round 2, pick 60
Robert Hunt, IOL, Louisiana — Hunt is big, plays nasty and has athleticism. There will be real competition on the Ravens interior this year following the retirement of Marshal Yanda and uncertainty over Matt Skura‘s injury. Hunt is a straight warrior who will throw his hat into the ring immediately, and probably has the most natural ability of any of the candidates.
