The Baltimore Ravens could go in a lot of interesting ways throughout the NFL Draft. Here are three fun prospects you’re not thinking about:

1. J.K. Dobbins, Running back (Ohio State)

The idea of adding J.K. Dobbins in the second round is a fun one. That’s because Dobbins is just a play-maker. He’s a very athletic running back who can do some damage as a receiver. If you’ve ever thought that it would be fun if Ray Rice played with Lamar Jackson, well this is a much faster version of Rice. Running back isn’t a huge position of need, yet adding Dobbins would make the Ravens a better football team.

If he’s there in the second round, the Ravens have a chance of getting an elite play-maker. Dobbins numbers at Ohio State were silly good. In the 2019 season he rushed for 2,003 yards averaging 6.3 yards per attempt. He also picked up 247 yards on 23 receptions. Pairing Dobbins with Lamar Jackson is the kind of athletic combination you’d dream up in a video game. The amount of stress that their combined speed would create at the mesh point would be a lot of fun to watch.

The Ravens don’t need a running back yet this pick would be something that would just be hard to turn down. Dobbins is a borderline first round talent. If he ends up being there in the second round Baltimore can justify taking him. He’s a play-maker first, a running back second. An embarrassment of riches at the running back position isn’t a problem, especially when you’re adding such a versatile weapon like Dobbins.
