3. The Ravens should pick an inside linebacker:

On the Ravens defense, the inside linebacking group is probably the position with the most question marks. The Ravens don’t have a drafted inside linebacker except for Jake Ryan who was just signed a few days ago. The Ravens should seriously consider adding some talent at this position. Though the Raven’s style of defense takes some of the importance away from this position, stopping the run is always going to be important. Chuck Clark needs some more help in the middle of the defense, and a ton of mock drafts are mocking an inside linebacker to the Ravens.

Kenneth Murray and Patrick Queen are two inside linebackers that are routinely mocked to the Ravens, and it would make sense for the Ravens to take either. Both are really good players with impressive speed for the position. However, if the Ravens aren’t able to grab either of those players, there are still some other intriguing inside linebackers later on in the draft. Players like Malik Harrison and Jordyn Brooks could be options for the Ravens later in the draft and fill a similar role to Murray and Queen. Either way, the Ravens need to add some talent to the linebacker group at some point in the draft.

The Ravens should not forget that playoff game against the Titans where Derrick Henry looked unstoppable. Getting a run-stuffing linebacker is a big step towards making sure the defense is as complete as it can be. It will be very interesting to see how the Ravens play this draft. It is deep at many positions and the Raven can afford to wait till later rounds to address their needs.

However, the Ravens should come away with an outside linebacker, wide receiver, and inside linebacker at some point during the draft. They have the picks to make this a very impact heavy draft. I trust that Decosta and Ozzie Newsome will find some impact players that will step in and play day one.
